Helping students through difficult times with an emergency assistance fund
A financial emergency can happen to anyone at any time, including you. These circumstances might prevent you or a friend from attending classes or, if severe, continuing your degree.
Ichabods Moving Forward, a student-led philanthropic organization sponsored by the Washburn University Alumni Association and Foundation, provides an opportunity for students like you to receive emergency assistance during difficult times. This fund is supported by students, for students.
Apply to receive a grant
We are currently accepting assistance applications from students in need or by referral. If you or someone you know requires immediate financial assistance to stay in school, apply for a grant. Download the application, fill it out, and send it to imf@washburn.edu along with the required documentation. Feel free to email us with any questions as well.
With my deepest sincerity, thank you. I cannot tell you how much of a difference this makes. I feel like I can breathe again, and I had not realized how much of my energy and mental focus was spent on financial worries. I genuinely do not know what I would have done without your help and the generosity from the Ichabods Moving Forward program.
