Any student or employee who is eligible to receive an iCard may open an optional Dining Dollars, Bod Bucks Declining Balance Account or Swipe Plan (see Purchase a Commuter Meal Plan if not a campus resident) by making a deposit in the Ichabod Service Center, one of the Cash to Card Machines located on campus (only applicable for Bod Bucks), or through the Washburn University icard site (see Add Bod Bucks to an iCard or Purchase a Commuter Meal Plan).

Below we break down what Bod Bucks, Dining Dollars, and Swipe (Block Plans) are as well as their terms and conditions.

  • Dining Dollars are designed for personal meal planning and work similar to a debit card.  Every time a purchase is made the amount is deducted from the resident's Dining Dollars balance.  They are accepted at all dining centers on campus.  Transfer from Fall to Spring semester only.
  • BodBucks are discretionary dollars residents can spend at several places on campus, including the Corner Store, Libation Station, Ichabod Shop, campus laundry facilities, concessions, and vending machines. Remain on student account as long as they are a registered student.
  • Block Meals (swipes) are a set number of passes for a buffet-style meal residents can redeem exclusively at Lincoln Dining.  Every time their iCard is swiped, one meal is deducted from the resident's Block Meals balance.  Do not transfer from semester to semester.
    • Students Living on Campus with Plan 450: 14 Meal Plan ($3990/year, $1995/semester)
      • This plan allows you up to 14 meals per week at Lincoln Dining. There are no restrictions on the number of meals you may eat per day, but you are limited to 14 personal meals per week. 13 meals must be used in the Lincoln Dining, 1 meal per week may be used in the Union Market, Study Grounds @ Mabee, or the Corner Store. The meal plan usage week begins Thursday morning and ends Wednesday night.
      • This plan includes $300 Dining Dollars per semester, and is already included in the price of the plan. Dining Dollars can be used at any dining location, including the Union Market, Lincoln Dining, Study Grounds@ Mabee, Corner Store, etc. Optional Dining Dollars can be added to this plan.
      • This plan includes $50 Bod Bucks per semester, which is already included in the price of the plan. Bod Bucks are discretionary dollars that can be used at several places on campus, including the Corner Store, Libation Station, Ichabod Shop, campus laundry facilities, concessions, and vending machines. Remain on student account as long as they are a registered student.

The plans listed above can not be transferred from one declining balance account to the next, i.e. You CAN NOT transfer Dining Dollars to Bod Bucks and vice versa.
