Any student or employee who is eligible to receive an iCard may open an optional Dining Dollars, Bod Bucks Declining Balance Account or Meal Swipes Plan (see Purchase a Commuter Meal Plan if not a campus resident) by making a deposit in the Ichabod Service Center, one of the Cash to Card Machines located on campus (only applicable for Bod Bucks), through the Washburn University icard site (see Add Bod Bucks to an iCard or Purchase a Commuter Meal Plan), or through the GET Mobile app.
Below we break down what Bod Bucks, Dining Dollars, and Swipe (Block) Plans are as well as their terms and conditions.
- Dining Dollars are accepted like cash at all dining locations. It is a declining balance account that works like a debit card. Each time you make a purchase, that amount is subtracted from your balance. You can use your dining dollars to purchase beverages, snacks, a full meal or even household cleaning supplies in the Market. Dining dollars roll over from the fall to spring semester, but any unused funds will be forfeited at the end of spring.
- BodBucks are discretionary dollars residents can spend at several places on campus, including the Market, Libation Station, Ichabod Shop, campus laundry facilities, concessions, and vending machines. Remain on student account as long as they are a registered student.
- Meal Swipe Plans (swipes) are a set number of passes for meals residents can redeem exclusively at Lincoln Dining. Every time their iCard is swiped, one meal is deducted from the resident's Meal Swipes balance. Do not transfer from semester to semester, 14 Meal Swipe Plan does not allow for week to week transfers either.
