Academic History
Karen has served as Clinical Education Coordinator for the Washburn University Athletic Training Program for 10 years. She is also a Stop the Bleed and American Red Cross CPR instructor.

Service Interests/Activities
Karen is also very active in her community and has served on the USD 329 Health and Safety Committee and is a member of the Parent After School Program Board of Directors.
Career Accomplishments
Karen has served the athletic training profession at local, state, district and national levels. She is currently on the National Athletic Trainers' Association Connection and Engagement Committee as the District V representative and chairs the Mid-America Athletic Trainers' Association (MAATA) Connection and Engagement Committee. She has served on the MAATA Board of Directors, as the Vice-President of the Board of Directors, and on the Finance Committee. Karen has also served as Past-President, President, President-Elect, Treasurer, Annual Symposium Committee Chair, and Young Professional Representative for the Kansas Athletic Trainers' Society.
