Student Organizations
The primary purposes of the Washburn Student Social Work Association (WSSWA) and the Washburn University Graduate Social Work Association (WUGSWA) are:
1) To promote student involvement, and develop a well-rounded scope of programs and events designed to coordinate academic life with eventual professional practice and to stimulate interest in social work as a viable career. 2) To provide service in Topeka community agencies and programs through appropriate and available means. 3) To cooperate with the Kansas Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers, (NASW), its standards, goals and projects, insofar as possible.
