Mr. Ichabod mascot

The mascot position can be filled by someone passionate about Washburn and knowledgeable about the history of the university. This individual needs to be outgoing, energetic, and adaptable. WU101 is a required course to take and pass before a mascot application can be filled out. Any past experience as a mascot is appreciated and encouraged!

Want to wear the suit?

Tryouts for the 2025-2026 mascot team will be held during the 2025 spring semester. All incoming freshman, transfer and current Washburn University students in good standing are eligible to try out. Successful members will receive a scholarship for their commitment to the team.
