Washburn University's 160-acre campus in Topeka, Kansas has a variety of spaces to meet your needs. Whether you are planning an intimate gathering, a wedding and/or reception, or need conference space, we've got you covered.

Helpful Event Planning Information
- Weekly meeting may be scheduled one semester at a time. Monthly or quarterly meetings may be reserved for the entire academic year.
- Student organizations must complete the registration process with Office of Student Involvement and Development to reserve meeting space on campus.

- Academic classes many not be scheduled in the Memorial Union. Exceptions will be made if the class is not assigned a regularly scheduled classroom.
- Space may be reserved for a special classroom event involving, a speaker, class project or banquet.
- Any decorating plans must be approved well in advance of the event.
- Exits must be free of obstructions and exit signs must remain clearly visible.
- Decorations must be self-supporting or request placed for use of blue screens.
- Walls, floors, ceilings or tables must not be used to support decorations.
- Glitter or confetti is not approved.
- Candles are prohibited. Flicker or battery powered candles are approved.
- Cleaning not of a routine nature that results from an event may incur special service charges. This includes but is not limited to carpet and furniture cleaning or removing and disposing of decorations.
- Repair or replacement expenses will be billed for any damages to the building or equipment resulting from decorations, accidents or abuse.
- Any food, snack, or beverage served must be provided by Dining Services.

- Charges will be assessed at a minimum of 2 hours to open or close buildings on campus beyond normal operating hours at the rate of $50/hr.
- All requests must be received a minimum of 14 days in advance.
- Requests are not guaranteed.
- Requests depend on availability of skilled Technician and available staffing.
