Get ready to boost your leadership skills with a range of workshops tailored to your needs. Whether you're an advisor, treasurer, event planner or want to enhance your leadership, we've got you covered. Learn to be a successful advisor, master event planning, manage your organization's finances, and boost membership and engagement. We also offer tailored training, leadership assessments, communication strategies and more. One hour must be allocated for these workshops, please let us know when submitting your requests if you would like OSID to accommodate with a longer or shorter workshop length.

During this session, we will explain everything you need to know about being a successful and effective student organization advisor. We will provide additional information on expectations regarding The Source – our student organization handbook, group travel and keys to good mentorship.
In this workshop, you will be able to learn the step-by-step process to plan a successful event for your organization. We will provide additional information on important dates to note, an event planning checklist, provide details of room/space reservations, campus safety plans/risk management, effective marketing and more!
This is an interactive workshop where student organization treasurers/leaders will learn best practices on managing your organization’s money. We will cover topics including budgeting, financial planning for events and gain knowledge on fundraising opportunities for your organization.
This workshop will focus on practical ways to recruit new members to your organization, and ways to motivate and engage your members! We will dig deeper into understanding burnout, the different levels of involvement within your organization, and developing strategies to motivate yourself and those you lead!

Depending on your needs, and the size of your organization, the Office of Student Involvement and Development staff can tailor additional training to fit your needs.

This workshop will focus on foundational knowledge of diversity, equity and inclusion topics and definitions and its benefits.
In this workshop students will understand the historical context and definition of intersectionality and explore how people can simultaneously navigate social space with both dominant and oppressed identities.
Students will be able to define unconscious bias and microaggressions and develop skills and confidence to respond to issues concerning unconscious bias, microaggressions and other DEI topics.
