Stephen Terry serves as Vice President for Strategic Enrollment Management at Washburn University, where he leads efforts to attract, enroll, and support students through a coordinated approach to recruitment, admissions, financial aid, and academic records. With a focus on access, efficiency, and student success, he works across departments to ensure every student's path—from inquiry to graduation—is clear and supported.
Before joining Washburn, Stephen held senior leadership roles at the University of Central Missouri, Kansas City Kansas Community College, Park University, and the University of Missouri - Kansas City. He also serves as an officer in the Kansas Army National Guard, where he leads education services for soldiers across the state.
An educator at heart, Stephen enjoys being in the classroom. He has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in Communications, Business, Education, and Leadership at several colleges and universities.
Stephen is passionate about mentoring emerging leaders, fostering inclusive educational environments, and building systems that support student achievement and institutional excellence.
Stephen and his wife, Carrie, are proud parents of three daughters—Keira, Hayden, and Raegan.
