Philosophy and Religious Studies Scholarships

Jolee Houx Philosophy Scholarship Fund:  This scholarship is available for currently enrolled Philosophy majors with at least a 3.0 GPA overall, and at least a 3.0 Philosophy major GPA. Decisions concerning award of Houx scholarship funds will be made by the Department faculty based solely on academic performance.

Dr. Phillip W. Whitcomb Scholarship Fund: This scholarship is available for currently enrolled Philosophy majors or minors. Decisions concerning award of Whitcomb scholarship funds will be made based on academic excellence (as measured by GPA), demonstrated academic effort and improvement, financial need, or extracurricular contributions to the Philosophy program. 

Glen Tuchscherer Scholarship Fund: This scholarship is available for currently enrolled Religious Studies majors or minors. Decisions concerning award of Tuchscherer scholarship funds will be made based on academic excellence (as measured by GPA), demonstrated academic effort and improvement, or extracurricular contributions to the Religious Studies program. Preference in selection and award amount will be given to Religious Studies majors.
