About

"The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance."  Aristotle, 335 BC

The Museum offers free admission to a nationally accredited facility that meets the highest standards of the museum profession.  With over 5,000 square feet of exhibition space, 4 art classrooms, 2 sculpture gardens, an interactive art laboratory for young visitors and over 4,000 works of art, the Mulvane Art Museum exists to facilitate creative thought and intellectual growth.

As a Department of Washburn University and supported by memberships, donations and grants, we rely on your support to provide free access to our exhibitions and to the ArtLab. If you believe, as we do, that art can transform communities and lives, learn how you can support the Mulvane Art Museum
