For Parents and Families

Choosing Washburn

Choosing a college is one of the biggest decisions your son or daughter has faced so far. At Washburn University, we strive to support students and their families in every way possible during this transition. Explore the links here to learn about our admissions process, cost of attendance, scholarships and other financial aid, housing options, activities on campus and much more.

Our highly regarded academic programs will provide your son or daughter with a strong foundation on which to build a career. And our beautiful, friendly campus and surrounding community will be a place your son or daughter can thrive, no matter what size community they are coming from.

Campus Life

We invite to you see our campus with your son or daughter during an official visit and we encourage all prospective students to experience Washburn with a visit on an Ichabod Junior or Senior Day, or through our Ichabods at Night program.

Once your student is admitted to Washburn and decides to become an Ichabod, you become part of Washburn, too. We hope to see you for a campus visit, then back for move in, Homecoming and Family Day festivities.
