The PMHNP program prepares graduates to function as a psychiatric nurse practitioner.  PMHNPs provide treatment of psychiatric disorders for individuals, families and groups in a variety of clinical settings, using therapeutic techniques, pharmacological treatments, and interventions. The Washburn University School of Nursing Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Post-Graduate Certificate program prepares graduates to function as a psychiatric nurse practitioner in providing care across the lifespan.
