The artworks presented in POSITIVE NEGATIVE complicate the relationship between color and space, figure and background, positive and negative. Many of the works utilize white to suggest positive space. Others free color from spatial reality altogether. Each of them challenge you to not assume solidity and emptiness based on color alone. POSITIVE NEGATIVE invites you to perceive matter, void, and visual space in fresh ways.
