VISTA Membership Application

Application Process

Prospective VISTA members will submit an application which outlines their experience in serving the target population as well as how their service will correlate to the Washburn VISTA Project. The LinC Director and VISTA Project Leader will facilitate matching VISTA members with community partners.

Member Activities

Sample VISTA member activities include: Recruit volunteers, build volunteer management, leadership, and training systems; Market programs and activities; Create community partnerships; Grant write and fundraise; Develop new programs and/or Evaluate program impact and success.

VISTA members do not: Provide Direct services; Perform administrative duties; Work part-time; Work additional hours outside VISTA placement; Proselytize or lobby; Work internationally; Supervise employees or volunteers, or replace staff members

Funding Specifics

Selected members will receive an annual stipend of $11,880, an annual education award of $5,775 or an end of service stipend of $1,500.
