Career Accomplishments
Prior to receiving her doctoral degree from KU, Dr. Park worked as a writer in the Korean television industry and produced several short films. She also taught in the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures, the William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications, and the Department of Film and Media Studies at the University of Kansas. Dr. Park has published articles focusing on the representation of gender, race, and class in postcolonial Korean cinema in relation to the image production and reception processes. She is currently working on a book project based on her doctoral dissertation.
