Oversees financial accounting and reporting, grants accounting and reporting, cash management, accounts payable, payroll, student accounts and the Business Office.  Provides input and advice to the Vice President for Administration and Treasurer on various accounting and administrative issues.  Provides staff support to Board of Regents Budget & Finance and Audit committees.

Revised internal and external reporting systems to comply with requirements of GASB Statement No. 35.  Increased efficiency of Finance Office staff through targeted position upgrades and technology-enabled process improvements.

            Director of Budget Planning & Analysis, 2001 – 2002

Led the finance implementation team in the successful conversion from legacy systems to SCT Banner.  Key member of the human resources/payroll implementation team which brought payroll processing in-house to Banner.

Supported senior management with strategic plan development and implementation.  Responsible for preparation of in-depth financial analyses to support senior management decision-making process.  Maintained relationships with insurance rating agency analysts and prepared analyses and materials for annual ratings review meetings.

Managed and supervised multiple client service engagements in the financial services and not-for-profit sectors.  Served as office audit technology manager.  Taught at various firm-wide seminars for new hires, new senior accountants and financial services specialists.
