Dr. Catherine Hunt received her BME degree from Millikin University, MA from the University of Iowa, PhD from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and Diploma in Voice from The Internationalen Sommerakademie für Music in Salzburg, Austria. She is the Director of Music Education at Washburn University.

She served as the Kansas Music Educators Association CMENC Co-Advisor for five years and was the Southwestern Division Representative for the Early Childhood Music Special Research Interest Group for the National Association for Music Education (NAfME). Dr. Hunt served on a state-wide committee for the revision of the Kansas Music Standards.
