Hot Dog Contest and Soup Feed to benefit American Diabetes Association

Contestants will compete in a Hot Dog Eating Contest at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6 in the Stouffer Commons, Memorial Union, Washburn University campus. Up to 10 contestants may participate and each contestant must pay $5 to participate. The event is open to the public and free will donations will be accepted at the door. Each contestant will have 5 minutes to eat as many hot dogs as they can, or until all of the hot dogs are eaten. The winner of the contest will receive a gift certificate to The Burger Stand.

 Looking for Friday night dinner plans? Attend the Soup Feed from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Alpha Delta house, 1919 SW MacVicar Ave. for all you can eat soup for $5.

 All proceeds from the Hot Dog Eating Contest and Soup Feed will benefit the American Diabetes Association. Alpha Delta Fraternity is sponsoring the event.
