Inscape, Washburn University's literary magazine, is now accepting submissions for its 42nd edition, to be released in April 2014. Inscape is edited and designed by Washburn English students. In the past, submissions were only accepted from Kansas, but Inscape is now recognized internationally and anyone can submit, regardless of age, region, or nationality.
Inscape will accept no more than five poems, one piece of creative nonfiction (up to 3,000 words), one piece of fiction (up to 3,000 words), and three pieces of visual art. The deadline for submissions is October 24.
Inscape editors will choose one piece from each genre for an Editor’s Choice Award of $100. The best works in Inscape will be nominated for a Pushcart prize if the creator agrees.
