Washburn Tech will hold its annual Program Advisory Committee Dinner, Thursday, Oct. 18 from 6-7 p.m. in the Washburn Tech Conference Center. The annual dinner is held to recognize the nearly 150 employers who volunteer service to each of Washburn Tech’s 25 technical programs.
At Washburn Tech, each technical program has a Program Advisory Committee composed of representatives of area employers, which assist each program instructor in keeping curriculum up-to-date, establishing tool lists that students need to be successful, monitoring program costs, serving as guest presenters and assisting with employment opportunities for students upon graduation.
Washburn Tech offers 25 technical programs, most of which are about 48 credits in length, in five divisions – Construction, Health Care, Transportation, Human Services and Technology. In addition, short-term continuing education and custom courses are offered. Washburn Tech, which serves post-secondary students as well as high school students, has the highest graduation rate of any public technical institution in Kansas at 87 percent. To inquire about technical programs or future courses please contact Washburn Tech at 785-273-7140 or visit our website www.washburntech.edu.
