Scenes of campus featured in Paint Washburn Art Auction

By Roberta WalkerThe beauty of Washburn University’s campus has been captured in “Paint Washburn,” an exhibit of 36 pieces created by 33 artists at the Art en Plein Aire event on Washburn’s campus. The art will be available for purchase at the Paint Washburn Art Auction at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17 in the Washburn Room, Memorial Union, Washburn campus. In addition to the auction, the evening includes music, food and drink. Cocktail attire is preferred. Tickets are $50 per person and must be purchased by Nov. 1 at or by calling 785-670-1641.

Preview the “Paint Washburn” exhibit at the Mulvane Art Museum, located at 17th Street and Jewell Avenue, now through Nov. 15 or go to Proceeds from the auction will support a permanent, commissioned art piece in recognition of Washburn’s sesquicentennial.
