Enjoy a night of cultural enlightenment, consisting of art and origami displays, Japanese ethnic food (including sushi, fried rice and Japanese appetizers), a tea ceremony, presentations on Kite day, Doll day, and speakers on the Japan school system and religions, from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 2 at the University United Methodist Church, 1621 SW College Ave. Washburn University’s visiting international students from Fukouka, Japan will in attendance. The event is free and open to the public.
