Washburn Institute of Technology seeks applications for a Computer and Networking adjunct technical instructor at the Washburn Institute of Technology for the 2014-2015 school year. The successful candidate will be required to submit to a background check prior to hire. This position is a part-time evening position. The area of instruction is in the first-year computer repair section of the program.
Technical Instructors are expected to provide positive role models for students. Instruction shall be based on current state-of-the-art practices in the field.
REQUIRED: Associates degree. Two years or ‘4000 hours’ work experience in computer repair, tech support or technology related field. CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Technology Associate - Windows OS Fundamentals, Microsoft Technology Associate - Windows Server Admin Fundamentals,
PREFERRED: Bachelor’s Degree in a computer science, computer engineering or related field. Teaching experience at the post-secondary level, and certifications listed above.
