Vacancy - Assistant Professor Master of Health Science

Washburn University's Department of Allied Health in Topeka, Kansas invites applications for the position of Master of Health Science program faculty beginning August 1, 2014.  This position is a 9 month, tenure track appointment as Assistant Professor.  A completed doctorate is necessary for tenure-track appointment. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Earned doctorate in education, healthcare or a related field (ABD may be considered)
  • Credentialed/licensed in an allied health related discipline in the United States (e.g. radiologic technology, clinical lab science, respiratory therapy, etc.)
  • Evidence of excellence in teaching (minimum one year college teaching experience)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in online teaching

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as an advisor for students enrolled in the program
  • Maintains on-campus office hours per departmental policies
  • Responsible for curriculum development/changes as necessary
  • Responsible for assessment of courses
  • Responsible for full-time teaching load
  • Responds to other university requirements (service, scholarship) 
  • Reports to the Department Chair of Allied Health
