Vacancy - Nursing Lecturer DNP Program

Washburn University’s School of Nursing invites applications for a Lecturer position starting August 2014.  This position is a one-year (9-month), full-time, non-tenure track appointment.  The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate a commitment to quality graduate education.  The person in this position will teach courses related to primary care of patients in a clinical setting such as advanced health assessment, pharmacology and acute and chronic illnesses across the lifespan.  

Required Qualifications:

  • Nationally certified as a family or adult nurse practitioner
  • Experience as a nurse practitioner in a primary care practice
  • Eligible for licensure in Kansas  OR Licensed in Kansas by August 2014 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctorate (Ph.D. or D.NP.) in family or adult nurse practitioner
  • Experience in nursing education (can be graduate or undergraduate teaching experience).  

Salary commensurate with academic credentials/experience.
