Scholarship of Teaching and Learning

The Center for Teaching Excellence and Learning (C-TEL) endeavors to promote, support, and engage in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) - the scholarly inquiry into the practice of teaching in order to enhance student learning.  Faculty and staff who engage in the scholarship of teaching and learning, just like those who participate in discipline-specific research, make their findings public for peer review and for the welfare of other faculty and faculty developers.

The boxes below provide information on publishing outlets, funding opportunities and professional conferences on teaching and learning. Although we do not provide an exhaustive list in each of these areas, we have tried to provide a representative sample of some of the more reputable venues for the purpose of raising awareness about SoTL at Washburn University and to facilitate the pursuit of SoTL projects by Washburn faculty.
