Ichabods at Arrowhead ... has a nice ring to it, don't you think? Washburn's football team will be playing Northwest Missouri State at Arrowhead Stadium at 2 p.m. on Nov. 15 in Kansas City, Mo. Tickets for the game are $25 for general admission, $37 for club-level seats and $10 for students (must display ID upon entrance).
The Alumni Association will host a tailgate before the game for $25, which includes a catered lunch featuring brisket, plenty of sides and beverages. Children age 5 and under will be admitted for free. In addition, you can purchase tickets to ride a motorcoach from campus to Arrowhead for $20.
All of the above, in addition to parking passes, is available for purchase on the Athletics website.
You can share the Ichabods at Arrowhead experience with the football team by entering the Ichabod blitz social media contest. To participate, you must be 18 and must complete four steps to be entered for a grand prize drawing. The grand prize is a behind-the-scenes look at Arrowhead. No purchase is necessary.
The contest entails taking three photos or videos and posting them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. The first 100 people who complete any part of the Ichabod Blitz will receive a #BodsAtArrowhead scarf. Read more about the contest on the Athletics website.
When longtime professor and dean of women Charlotte Mendell Leavitt recommended non nobis solum as Washburn’s motto more than a century ago, she envisioned a school that had a tremendous impact on its students, alumni and the community.
As the university celebrates the countdown to our sesquicentennial in 2015, we continue to take the motto, translated as “not for ourselves alone,” to heart.
Washburn continues to give back to alumni and friends, from hosting signature events such as our Alumni Fellows and Awards programs, to our service to the community, to numerous other activities.
Serving more than 3,000 dues-paid members, the Washburn Alumni Association nurtures and supports the relationship between alumni and the university.
We keep you informed on university activities and bring the alumni together to promote fellowship and serve your alma mater.
We also offer traveling opportunities several times a year, including trips to countries across the globe.
