Come visit campus! Complete rules and instructions on how you can be entered to win a $1,000 scholarship to Washburn University are listed below:

  • Random drawing of all participants will be completed the first week of March.
  • Visit times and days are limited. These slots are filled on a first come, first served basis.
  • Campus visit requests must be given at least one week in advance to be eligible for this drawing. Drop-in or drop-by visits or tours will not be eligible.
  • Organizational Visit Days, including but not limited to high school visit days, club visit days or "Discover Washburn" are not eligible for the drawing. 
  • To be considered for the drawing participants must take a photo with a student ambassador, scheduled faculty member or admissions staff member and tag the photo with the hashtag #VisitWashburn.
  • Not all participants will be given scholarships for participation.

To be considered in the drawing, the visit must take place in February 2018.

Personalized Visit Information

Personalized Visits

On a personalized visit, you’ll take a campus tour with a current Washburn student, speak with faculty about your area of academic interest, and get your questions about admissions and scholarships answered by an admissions counselor.  We schedule your day’s activities around tours beginning at 10, 11, 1, and 2.  These visits typically last 2 hours.  To schedule a visit, contact the Office of Admissions at 785.670.1030.

When you get to campus, head to the Admissions front desk in Morgan Hall 100, located at 1700 SW College Ave.

How long do campus visits last?

To get the full Washburn University experience, please allow approximately an hour and a half for the campus tour and admissions discussion. If you would like to speak with someone from your academic area of interest, allow an extra 30-45 minutes. 

Where should you park once you get to campus?

Once you find Morgan Hall, please park in the spots allocated for Admissions visits in the visitors parking lot northeast of the building. Make sure you get a parking pass from the attendant at the front desk if one was not mailed to you previously.
