The Kansas Bureau of Investigation’s new 100,000 square foot facility at Washburn University will bring state-of-the-art forensic laboratories and equipment to campus. With 12,000 square feet of co-work space set aside to support teaching and learning, WU faculty and students will have access to a laboratory, auditorium and classroom. KBI scientists will also be able to serve as university faculty, bringing their extensive experience to new programs such as digital forensics and forensic accounting.
Having this facility on campus will also enhance current degree programs such as criminal justice and forensic chemical science. We look forward to the partnerships that have been formed with the KBI and the positive impact they will have on faculty, students, and community.
