Student Organizations

International Business Society (IBS)

The International Business Society was formed in 2004. The objective of the organization is to study the changing international business environment. The society has most of its meetings at ethnic restaurants in the area and invites individuals to speak at the meetings who are in some way involved in international business. Speakers include those in the management of firms doing business internationally, agricultural firms, banks and government. The society encourages students to consider a minor in international business and to study abroad. Students who have studied abroad talk to the society about their experiences. The IBS is open to all students at Washburn who are interested in international business.
