Artful Dining 2011
 is a series of eight events from September through November at homes in the Topeka area. Our hosts provide beautiful spaces and refreshments. 
At each site local Topeka artists are featured and their works are on display for purchase.

Artful Dining has been created as an annual series of gatherings to benefit the Mulvane Art Museum. 

All proceeds from event reservations, as well as 30% of art sales, will benefit the exhibition and education programs of the Mulvane Art Museum.
Select artists will display and sell works in an array of media:

  • Prints
  • Jewelry
  • Glass
  • Ceramics

Time: 6:30-8:30 pm

Where: 1515 SW Lakeside Drive, Topeka  

Savor hors d’oeuvres and beverages while viewing the art arrangement and lighting talents of Chris and John Grandmontagne and Brian Gates.


Art, Glass and Flowers on the Hill

Hosts: Olivia and Ray Simmons

Donation: $65 per person, $55 per person for members

Date: Sunday, October 2

Time: 1-4 pm

Where: 5805 SW Clarion Lake Way, Topeka

Come and enjoy the art glass, flowers, paintings and jewelry as they are partnered with good wines, foods and fellowship at the lovely Simmons home.  The event features paintings by Debra Clemente, jewelry by Kari Heybrock, and Glass/Dried Flowers by Bret and Roxanne Ebberts.


Artistry in Motion

Hosts: Dwight and Kathy Jepson

Donation: $65 per person, $55 per person for members

Date: Saturday, October 8

Time: 6:30-8:30 pm

Where: Sunflower Motors, 3030 S. Kansas Ave., Topeka

Wine and dine in a unique space surrounded in the artistic legacy of the automobile, while you enjoy the paintings of Stephanie Muñoz-O’Neil, Janet Bailey and the fused glass of Stacey Phillips.

 

Autumn Jazz

Hosts: Maggie and Dale Warren

Donation:  $65 per person, $55 per person for members

Date: Sunday, October 9

Time: 4-6 pm

Where: 5625 NW Timber Edge Drive, Topeka  

Wind down in the tranquil setting of Dale and Maggie Warren’s home and garden.  Enjoy mellow music, a cool drink and jazzy appetizers while you view paintings and ceramic works.  This afternoon will feature works of art by Brian Slawson, Mike Henry, and Glenda Taylor.


Just Desserts

Host: Mona Gambone

Donation: $65 per person, $55 per person for members

Date: Sunday, October 16

Time: 3-5 pm

Where: 1434 SW Plass Avenue, Topeka

Spend a fall afternoon celebrating just desserts and champagne with friends surrounded by wonderful fiber arts by Barry Busch, paintings by Shirley Akers and the ceramics of

Mark Ralston.

Fall for Art

Hosts: Meg Braun, Sean and Christa Murphy:

Donation: $65 per person, $55 for per person for members

Date: Friday, October 21

Time: 6:30-8:30 pm

Where: 117 SW  Woodlawn & 113 SW Woodlawn Avenue, Topeka

We are putting the “Art” in party at this fun event.  Join these Potwin hosts for an evening of artistic abandon. Featuring the art of Michael James Allen, oil paintings, and Valerie Smith and you!  There will be opportunities for you to create your own masterpieces including painting your own ceramic wine glass and fused wine rings.  So let’s Gogh!  Even the food will be a work of art.  Heavy hors d’oeuvres, desserts, wine and our signature Falltini will be served.

Happy Haunting Party
the Boo-Planet Café

Join us for family-friendly fun as we celebrate Halloween!  Enjoy art making activities, storytelling, music, and ghostly treats like Goreos and Lady Fingers!


Elements of the Earth

Hosts: Harold and Carol Benoit

Time: 6:30-8:30 pm

Where: 3625 SW Randolph, Topeka

Enjoy an evening of wine and hors d’oeuvres with artists Dee Newbery and Stan Herd.  The artists will present Glass, Oil and More.
