Barbara Waterman-Peters, who received a bachelor of fine arts degree from Washburn, is an award-winning artist who works out of a studio in the NOTO district in Topeka. Her work is represented by numerous galleries, including Hilliard Gallery in Kansas City, Mo., Strecker-Nelson Gallery in Manhattan, Kan., and Mulvane Art Museum. Her awards include the Distinguished Artist Award for Visual Arts and the Lilla Day Monroe Award from the Washburn University Alumni Association. “Dark Fish II (Harvey Meditation Garden)” has been selected for reproduction. Barbara is donating 50 percent of the proceeds from “Dark Fish II (Harvey Meditation Garden)” to the sesquicentennial fund.
