Diploma Mailing

Diplomas are usually available six to eight weeks after the end of each semester or term. Graduates can pick their diplomas up in the Student Service Center (Morgan Hall, Room 152) during regular business hours. You must present a photo ID in order to pick up your diploma, and we can’t release your diploma to you if you have any outstanding financial obligations to the University.

If you are not able to pick up your diploma in person, another option is to have it mailed to you. The fee for having your diploma mailed is $5.00 for addresses within the US and $10 for addresses outside the US. Please note that students must request to have their diplomas mailed; they will not be mailed automatically.

Having your diploma mailed to you

If you wish to have your diploma mailed, please print and complete the Diploma Mailing Form (below) and

  • mail the form to the address below, along with the appropriate fee—the University Registrar’s Office accepts cash, check, money order, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover—or
  • scan the form into a computer and email it to registrar@washburn.edu, including credit card information, or
  • fax the form to (785) 670-1104, including credit card information, or
  • bring the form to the Student Service Center, Morgan Hall, Room 152.

Washburn University policy requires that all requests for diploma mailing be made in writing, and signed, and dated by the student.
