International Student & Scholar Services

The Office of International Programs receives and processes initial applications from international students / scholars, and issues immigrations papers for their visa applications. After the students / scholars arrive on campus, the Office assists them in their social and academic growth, as well as providing advice on US immigration rules and regulations.

Important Dates: Spring Semester 2016

I-Club Social with Japanese Exchange Students – February 15 from 3:30-5:00 p.m. at the International House.  Come meet the visiting Japanese exchange students from Fukuoka University and Chiba University of Commerce and enjoy some socializing and snacks!

Spring Break – March 12-20, 2016

ICT Nepal Event – April 1 from 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. at the University United Methodist Church.  Learn about Nepal, try Nepali food, and listen to presentations about the country and its diverse people.  Free and open to the public.

TFN Ranch Party – April 9 from 4:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., sponsored by the Topeka Friendship Network (TFN).  Come out and enjoy a party at the ranch!

ICT Tulip Festival & Buffalo Ranch Tour – April 16 from 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m., sponsored by International Center of Topeka, Inc.  Visit the Tulip Festival in the small town of Wamego and a local buffalo ranch.  You’ll be able to enjoy the countryside and natural beauty of Kansas.

Topeka Tour and International Club Potluck & BBQ at the International House  April 23 from 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.  You’ll have a chance to visit the downtown Farmers Market, Capitol Tour, Downtown Chinese Lunch, Kansas Museum of Historical visit and BBQ.  Bring a dish to the party to share with friends.  Games and activities to follow.

Final Day of the Spring semester (end of Finals Week):  May 13, 2016
