What is a Washburn AmeriCorps VISTA Fellow? 

Washburn AmeriCorps VISTA Fellows

  • Serve full-time at nonprofit organizations or local government agencies in or near Topeka.
  • Fight poverty through the development of economic opportunity, education, healthy futures, veterans’ services, disaster services and environmental stewardship. 
  • Develop the capacity of the organization to better serve the community by building resources, recruiting and training volunteers, developing programs and the like.
