First-Year Live-On Requirement
College is more than what you learn in the classroom - it is also about relationships and experiences. At Washburn University, you'll have the opportunity to discuss ideas one-on-one with faculty members, study with friends, join a student organization (or two, three, etc.) and cheer on our athletics teams. You'll find a campus that supports your academic and co-curricular goals. When you live on campus, you are directly connected to opportunities that help you build a full college experience.
We also know, through national data and tracking our students' performance, that living on campus helps you in the classroom. Students who live on campus for their freshman year average higher GPAs and have a higher graduation rate than their peers living off campus.
