You can enjoy a cold drink after work, attend a breakfast lecture presented by a former Ichabod or travel to Kansas City for a T-Bones game during the summer. Washburn University and the Alumni Association offer a number of activities for alumni and friends

Events & Reunions

  • Enjoy food and drinks and visit with fellow Washburn graduates and friends at After Hours.
  • Each year, the Alumni Association honors Fellows from each of the university’s colleges and schools.
  • Each year, the Alumni Association honors Washburn alumni achieving in their fields and the community with Alumni Awards.
  • You can help current Washburn students by participating in the Fun Run, which funds Alumni Association scholarships.
  • Join us for reunions honoring alumni who graduated 50, 60 and 70 years ago.
  • You can experience the world through the Alumni Association. We’ve traveled with alumni to China, The Baltics and several other countries on our travel opportunities.
  • During each academic year, you have four opportunities to hear Washburn alumni talk about their careers at our Wake Up With Washburn breakfast series.

After Hours now on second friday of month

Beginning in June 2013, After Hours will be held on the second Friday of every month at the Bradbury Thompson Alumni Center. The June 2013 After Hours will be on June 14. The After Hours during the month in which Homecoming is held will be on the Friday of Homecoming Week.

Top of the Tower

Every other month, the Alumni Association hosts a luncheon in downtown Topeka bringing alumni and friends together. In May, Clark Coco, dean of Washburn Tech, spoke at the luncheon.
