Meet Caralea: Flexible program a perfect fit
To say Caralea Manthe was a busy college student would be an understatement. In addition to taking courses at Washburn, she was a member of the Dancing Blues for four years and worked.
With a hectic schedule, Manthe found a perfect fit in the Bachelor of Health Sciences-Health Services Administration (BHS-HA) program.
“I chose to take online courses starting my sophomore year for more flexibility with scheduling work and other activities,” said Manthe, who earned a BHS-HA at age 21 in May 2020. “Online courses allowed me to continue dancing on the dance team, work a job and enjoy time with my friends and family. I would highly recommend it.”
Manthe also took advantage of Washburn’s Concurrent Enrollment Program, earning college credit from her high school classroom. Those credits helped her graduate with an Associate of Science in Health Information Technology in 2019.
