Lean Six Sigma (LSS) is a structured and systematic method for organizational improvement. Its focus is to increase performance and decrease defects and redundancies - anything that does not lead to customer satisfaction and organizational sustainability – thereby enhancing profit, employee morale, and quality of product. Washburn University Academic Outreach and School of Business, in partnership with the Topeka Area Chamber of Commerce and Crimson Corporation, strives to be the Lean Six Sigma educational resource to the Topeka community and beyond by offering a series of professional development programs for small or large organizations of all types: manufacturing, service, government, education, and others.
Lean Six Sigma uses martial arts ranking terminology to establish levels of knowledge and ability applicable across functions in an organization.
