Starting Tuesday, July 22, 2014, students will not be able to access their MyWashburn financial aid award information due to the Financial Aid Office processing student loans for the fall 2014 semester.  Access will be restored as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience during this process.

The Washburn University Financial Aid office is dedicated to assisting students with the process of applying for and receiving their financial aid. Throughout this process, our office will strive to provide quality service and personal guidance to all students.

Accessing Your Award Using MyWashburn 

If an award has been processed you may view it online  

  • Select the Financial Services tab
  • Select the Financial Aid Awards link available in the left column
  • Select Aid Year and click Submit
  • Select the “Terms and Conditions” tab - All students must read and accept the terms and conditions before accepting your financial aid. 
  • Select the “Accept Award Offer” tab to accept/decline awards.

What are the interest rates for federal student loans?

The interest rate varies depending on the loan type and (for most types of federal student loans) the first disbursement date of the loan. The table below provides interest rates for Direct Loans first disbursed on or after July 1, 2013.

Perkins Loans (regardless of the first disbursement date) have a fixed interest rate of 5%.

All interest rates shown in the chart above are fixed rates for the life of the loan.

Note: The interest rates for federal student loans are determined by federal law. If there are future changes to federal law that affect federal student loan interest rates, we will update this page to reflect those changes.
