Important Information for Fall Undergraduates Candidates for Graduation (December Ceremony) - Do you plan to complete your undergraduate degree this fall and participate in the Fall 2014 Commencement Ceremony on FRIDAY, DECEMBER 12? If so, please visit the COMMENCEMENT WEB SITE at - there is a link to this site on the Student Academics tab in MyWashburn (in the left column under Graduation and Beyond) and also in the A-Z Index at (under C for commencement). The deadline to file the required online Application for Graduation for undergraduates is Friday, September 5, 2014. A link to this form is available on the Commencement web site. Questions regarding the Application for Graduation and eligibility to participate in the ceremony should be directed to On the Fall Ceremony page at under Important Information in the right column, there is a PDF “First Letter to Fall Candidates.” This is not actually a mailing, but it is the first notice and will give you the basic information you need to know. There will be one (1) official mailing on or around November 7, 2014 of the Fall Ceremony Instructions to the final candidates who have filed an Application for Graduation and have received clearance to participate in the ceremony. Questions regarding the ceremony only should be directed to the Commencement Services Office at Mark your calendar and make plans to attend the Career & Graduate School Fair on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. in Lee Arena. IMPORTANT – To ensure that you receive notice from the professional photographer that your proofs are ready to view after the ceremony, please go to and click on Pre-Event Registration to register your permanent email address. A link to this site is also located on the Commencement web site at Your email address will not be shared with anyone else – it is only used by the professional photographer for notification of your proofs. Two photos will be taken during the ceremony – one as you receive your diploma cover and the second will be a portrait-style photo taken after you exit the stage. You are under no obligation to purchase photos, but the best guarantee to be able to view your proofs is to pre-register your permanent email address. You will also have the convenience of registering up to six (6) more emails of family or friends so they have the opportunity to view your proofs.
