Technology Support Center

The ITS Technology Support Center (TSC) provides a variety of assistance options for Washburn students, faculty, and staff.

The TSC is located in Bennett Computer Center room 104 and has a window for walk-in help. The TSC is also available by phone at (785) 670-3000 and e-mail at support@washburn.edu. Support hours are:

Monday thru Thursday from 7:30am to 11:00pm
Friday from 7:30am to 5:00pm
Saturday from 8:00am to 5:00pm
Sunday from 1:00pm to 11:00pm

The TSC can provide the following services:

Troubleshooting and assistance with software and hardware problems including:

  1. Assistance with Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware software, virus scanning, and virus remediation
  2. Assistance with operating system software, updates, etc.
  3. Assistance with supported applications, e.g. Microsoft Office, e-mail, web browsers, etc.
  4. Diagnostics and basic troubleshooting of hardware
  5. General advice on hardware and software upgrades and best practices for equipment on used campus
  6. Assist with access to Washburn wireless network.

All TSC services are performed at no charge to you. You will be required to sign a waiver to have TSC staff work on your equipment or to leave it with the TSC. All services are provided on a best-effort basis. In general, the University and the TSC in particular cannot guarantee work performed on personal equipment, network access, or access to other resources as a result of these services. Referrals to third-parties do not represent recommendations or guarantees of the work of those parties.

The TSC does not provide computer support services for the general public or faculty or staff personally-owned computers.

The TSC does not provide repair services for non-Washburn-owned equipment.
