Degree Programs

The Biology Department offers two Baccalaureate Degrees, the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and the Bachelor of Science (B.S.).

Common to both Bachelor Degrees is the Biology Core, consisting of 7 courses totaling 23 credit hours and 28-30 credit hours of correlate courses in chemistry, mathematics and physics.

For requirements for the specific biology degree programs:

Students seeking licensure in teaching biology at the secondary level must complete either a B.A. or B.S. Degree in Biology as described above.  Additionally, other courses as required by the Education Department and the State of Kansas:
