Same-Sex Marriage: A Civil Debate, Sept. 25

John Corvino and Maggie GallagherIs same-sex marriage good for society? John Corvino, professor, philosophy, Wayne State University (Mich.), and Maggie Gallagher, chairman and co-founder, National Organization for Marriage, will conduct a well-mannered debate on the topic “Same-Sex Marriage: A Civil Debate” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25 in room 100, Henderson Learning and Resource Center. This debate will discuss both sides of the topic and will focus on many subtopics such as the needs of children, the complementary of the sexes and the analogy to the civil-rights movement.
