Academic Outreach

The Office of Academic Outreach serves the University through the coordination of programs designed to increase access to 'learning for a lifetime' for select academic and post-baccalaureate professional development programs.

Academic Programs

The University’s academic credit online, off-campus, and summer session programs are coordinated by the Office of Academic Outreach.  These include the Early Start Options and Concurrent Enrollment Partnership programs, academic credit options for certain professional development programs, and contract programs with local organizations. Program areas are listed to the right.

Professional Development

Academic Outreach provides noncredit professional development programs that have a direct connection to an academic area and are generally considered post-baccalaureate in terms of knowledge or skills. Program areas are listed to the left.

REGISTRATION NOTE:  Effective Monday, July 6, online registration for various non-credit courses and CEP compass exams will be supported by ProClass. Each participant will be asked to set up a new account which will deliver an overall excellent registration experience by providing more detailed information regarding account status, i.e. enrollment verification, billing details, etc.  We thank you in advance for assisting our staff to better serve you. If you have questions, please call the Office of Graduate Programs and Academic Outreach at (785) 670-1399 or email proclass@washburn.edu.
