Why Study Kinesiology at Washburn?

A degree from Washburn fosters critical thinking skills that prepare students for lifelong learning. Kinesiology majors complete internships, clinical hours and/or student teaching experiences at the end of their degree programs to prepare them for employment upon graduation. Our students are exposed to leadership, research and/or educational service opportunities through participation and volunteerism. A degree in Kinesiology provides an excellent foundation for students wishing to pursue health, sport, and fitness careers such as personal training, health promotion, physical therapy, physician's assistant, chiropractic, and numerous other allied health and medical fields.
